Our Company

We love stationery. We love to use it, we love to buy it, we love to see it sitting on our desk. That is why we started this little shop. 

The Cozy Journal opened in 2023. After years employed in IT, we wanted to get back to physical products, to something tactile, something real world that would still exist if the power went out.

There is something very human about stationery products. The way a pen feels in your hand when you are writing across clean crisp paper. The slow brightening on pigment on watercolor paper as it spreads. The release of shoulders as you write your stress out of your body and into your favorite journal. We believe the highest level of satisfaction comes from using the best tools. So that is what we are in search of - the best tools from the best brands - to share with our customers and to use ourselves! 

The Cozy Journal started with a brick-and-mortar focus. The hope was to have a traditional setting where we could meet customers and they could interact with the products before buying. Currently, we have 5 small stores located throughout Virginia and North Carolina. At a certain point, customers were asking for ways to purchase online, and so we opened thecozyjournalonline.com. 

We are still a small and humble little business, but our heart is fully in it. We are adding new products every week as we grow. Please consider joining our mailing list to learn about new additions. We are based near Richmond, Virginia. If ordering in the US, you will not be charged tariffs. We already paid the applicable tariffs when importing the items.
