About The Cozy Journal

The Cozy Journal is a stationery shop specializing in products that go into journals. This includes notebooks, ephemera, paper, stamps, stickers, washi tape, and so much more. We also carry a robust selection of our favorite Japanese stationery products.

We love stationery. We love to use it, we love to buy it, we love to see it sitting on our desk. That is why we started this little shop. The Cozy Journal opened in 2023. After years in the digital world, we longed to get back to physical products, to something tactile, something real world that would still exist if the power went out. And we love junk journaling! ✨ 

The Cozy Journal started with a brick-and-mortar focus. The hope was to have a traditional setting where we could meet customers and they could interact with the products before buying. Currently, we have 5 small stores located throughout Virginia and North Carolina. We are expanding into our flagship store which is under development and will have a soft opening April 2026, and a grand opening in May 2026. 🥳

In our physical stores, customers were asking for ways to purchase online, and so we opened thecozyjournalonline.com. We found that through certain partnerships with vendors we could better serve customers with limited and hard to find stationery items using our website.

Supporting small creators is both a business and personal goal for us. We’re always seeking out independent artists and designers whose work brings something thoughtful and unique to our shelves. When you shop with us, you’re not just supporting one small business - you’re helping sustain many others. We love the idea of a creative ecosystem where small businesses lift each other up and grow together.
